Stop & Smell the Roses Vlog: Week 11, Vol. 5

Wednesday is pretty much my favorite blog day...because I get to link up with Mandy (and all the other linkers) over at House of Rose for "Stop & Smell the Roses" :)

For all of you other knitters out there...

Book:

Pattern: Design 18 - Snood
Yarn: Mirasol Sulka Shade 200 (Snow White)

So obviously, I won't be wearing this anytime soon...probably going to have to wait until next year's winter months. But here are a few shots of the different ways to wear it:

Haha, don't laugh at my modeling attempt! :P

And here is my full post related to my coffee mug from Suzels Says Coffee Mug Swap.

Hopefully everyone has lots of good things that they're smiling about this week - can't wait to check them out. Thanks for hosting Mandy!

Don't forget to keep checking back and reading about the Compassion Bloggers' experiences in Tanzania! Their posts have been amazing so far - I'm absolutely loving their words and stories that they've continued to share on their blogs!

  1. Girl, I can not believe you made that! Amazing! I could totally use one of those to go with my boot socks. ;) So glad to see you are gaining readers! Thanks for posting the link about the Compassion bloggers! I haven't been reading that, but will now!

    1. Thanks! :) You definitely need one to go with your socks, hehe. It's definitely nice to have new readers...I'm learning a lot along the way & still have much more to tackle. OMG, I can't get through those Compassion Blogger posts without tearing up or having full-body chills...I love reading them though.

  2. Wow! Awesome job! I love how around Christmas time it would be so awesome to walk down the road (as it's snowing, just like in White Christmas, obviously) cuddled up to that. It's so cozy and would go really well with Ugg boots! :)

  3. You are too cute! I love it as a hat! We are moving to the South, does it become cowl weather there? I want to learn to knit really bad, but I seem to suck at teaching myself!

    1. Thanks girl! :) We didn't have a very cold winter here this year...I wore a few scarves, but nothing that thick. But who knows...next year it could snow lots and it would be perfect weather for the cowl! I bet you could find someone to teach you...some yarn shops offer classes too, that's a great way to go.

  4. I can't believe you made that! I need to learn how to knit, stat. I taught myself how to crochet last winter when I believe i was suffering from Seasonal Anxiety here in Bloomington during my first Midwest winter...not really...but you know. It was too cold to go anywhere! You've inspired me to get out my yarn again!

    1. Haha, that's so funny...because I'm so used to the Midwest winters, that I was complaining how Charlotte hardly had a winter this year. Crazy me, I know! ;) But I fully support your need for yarn and to learn how to knit...I learned how to crochet a few years ago too, but I'm much better at knitting :P Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I am so stinkin' impressed that you made that!! I had a friend who knit me a scarf once and gave it to me as a gift and I absolutely loved it! I still wear it in the winter time and think of her every time I do. And I SO need to check out the Compassion bloggers... I just know that once I start I won't get up from my computer for a while, so I'm going to have to wait until that's an option. :)

  7. I love this! I just learned to knit this past winter. I have been working on a scarf but haven't finished yet *hanging head in shame*. Hopefully I'll get motivated to finish before the cool months.

    1. Aww, thanks! Congrats on learning how to knit. Oh please, don't feel bad...I have a TON of unfinished projects :) I think it comes with the territory of being a knitter...sometimes we get bored with the project we are working on, move onto something else...and hope to come back to the unfinished project some day. :P
