Stop & Smell the Roses Vlog: Week 9, Vol.3

It's time for another weekly link-up with Mandy over at House of Rose for:

So there you have it...isn't it great to have motivational support when you're working hard towards your goals, whether it's a fitness goal or any other type of goal. That motivational support really makes you feel like you can do anything you put your mind to!

The group I referenced in the video is called FitFace, currently at 271 members. Join their group on Facebook, leave me a message letting me know you want to join and I'll invite you! Curt & Traci (my BIL & SIL) put a lot of work into this group - connecting with people, training together, and even creating challenges and events that you can participate in from anywhere. The current challenge is a Plank Hold Challenge - doesn't that sound like fun?! :)
Check them out!!

Thanks for stopping by to find out what I'm smiling about this week! And thanks for hosting Mandy. Am excited to see what everyone else, linking up, is thankful for!
Until next time...

  1. Good for you for making better choices!! It's hard for me to stay motivated too, but I think sometimes there is just this 'click' where your body says, "OK, enough!" Thanks for sharing!!

  2. I agree...it's hard for me to stay motivated! I have been doing Crossfit with Katie Parrish and if it weren't for her and the fact that we hold each other accountable I would have given up 2 weeks ago! I'll go check out this fb page! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks for hosting! :) Yeah, I've been running, doing yoga and I joined a Crossfit group...and it's kicking my butt! But it feels good at the same time! Glad you and Katie have each other to keep one another accountable...that helps too.

  3. Good for you for making such a positive change towards your lifestyle! Having an awesome support system is so helpful, I'm glad you've got one to motivate you throughout your journey! I know I'd be lost if it weren't for my husbands support in my dieting adventures. Ha!

Great vlog! Can't wait to see next weeks! :) xoxo

  4. Working out and getting healthy with a group is the way to go!!!! I had a big run to do this weekend and there is no way I would have finished it if I were running by myself. Encouragement and support is half the battle in working out and getting healthy. Good for you sweetie!!

    1. Thank you!! You can do it...one step at a time. I'm starting small, but doing a combination of things. It was too funny when I went to Mandy's vlog post and she also posted about working out :) I'll cross my fingers for you too!!

  7. I am a huge proponent of healthy lifestyles so yay for that! It's so much better when you have others alongside of you making healthy choices as well. I think it's so funny that you moved from IL. I live in Bloomington but we desperately miss Charlotte and being close to our families. We can't wait for a job transfer to bring us back!

    1. You can do it!! :) That's alright if you can't join the group...hopefully they'll get a website up and running soon. There are a lot of online groups out there that have the same purpose...just to motivate each other and hold each other accountable. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Girl, believe me...that's how I've been for the past 6 months. I think it's just easier once you start...you just get on a roll. It's that first week, when you're tired and you hate it...you just gotta get past that! You can do it :) And you can borrow some of mine for sure!!
