Stop & Smell the Roses Vlog: Week 8, Vol. 2

It's time for another link-up with Mandy over at House of Rose for:

Today, I'm talking about (1) my post from yesterday and just in general, little random acts of kindness. Couldn't we all use some of those every once in awhile?!

And I'm also talking about my yoga practice. Like I said, I've been practicing for awhile, but I am still at a very basic level. The quieting my mind task really gets me! Anyone else have that problem??? But I'm working on it - I'm a work-in-progress! :P Yoga has just brought some really great balance to my life...I always feel better after leaving a class, because it's just very cleansing!

So I hope you all enjoyed my vlog (especially right around 1:23...isn't that great, note to self: must invest in video editing program!), thanks again Mandy for hosting & I can't wait to hear all about what others linking-up are thankful for this week. See y'all next week! :)

  1. How sweet of your dad and what cute stuff he sent you! I agree, random acts of kindness are the BEST! You've inspired me to do something nice for someone this week. I already have something in mind! Thanks!

  2. First of all, your dad has great taste in putting together a care package! And that was so sweet of him! I love random acts of kindness and I love getting ideas on how to do something nice for someone else, so thanks for sharing! Also, loved hearing your thoughts on yoga. I've thought about doing it before, but never actually took the plunge. Thanks for putting it back on my radar! :)

    1. My dad did do a good job, he tries really hard to send a package every once in awhile - so sweet! Glad you are putting yoga back on your radar. I practice hot yoga, which I don't know if I mentioned on the video, but whatever way you end up practice (there are so many styles, hot or not, etc.), you'll reap lots of benefits!

  3. You are so right about random acts of kindness!! Unexpected gifts/acts of kindness are the best & always so much more appreciated!! I've always wanted to try yoga, but have never been pro-active about finding a class! I totally struggle with quieting my mind as well!!! Constantly thinking of the next things (or things) on my to-do list & all that I need to get accomplished!

    1. Thanks for watching again this week!! You should definitely try yoga...it has made a world of difference in the amount of stress in my life or how I handle it. The cool thing is, you don't really even have to belong to a studio, these days...you can get a mat from Target, some DVD's, and start practicing at home. But the community part in class is definitely helpful! :)

  4. Hi Kristin! I'm stopping over from the link up. I love your thoughts on random acts of kindness. So refreshing and now I want to do something nice for someone ASAP. Also, you live in Charlotte?? I'm from Charlotte! My husband and I live in Illinois now but Charlotte is my hometown and I miss it SO MUCH. My family is still there and my husband's is in Columbia. We are hoping to make the move back South soon!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Nina & for watching the SSTR vlog! I do live in Charlotte...I've been here for a little over a year now, and love it! I'm originally from IL though, so basically we just swapped :) I can see why you miss Charlotte though, so many people move here and just fall in love with all that it has to offer. It's definitely my favorite place I've lived so far!
